Over the course of the term, we’re going to be focussing on a different times table every two weeks. We’ll be practising in class, using chanting, songs and also drawing links between the different times tables facts (such as, for example, the fact that 2 x 9 & 4 x 9 and 4 x 9 & 8 x 9 are all just doubles of each other!). Any extra practice you do at home will be really useful – if you want any tips, just let us know. There are some great (and some very cringeworthy!) times tables videos on YouTube if you Google them 🙂 and we find they often help children to enjoy tables a little bit more! Your child can also make times tables charts like the ones below – stick them on your fridge and use them for snap fact checks!
