Children in Early Years have enjoyed building snow men and snow girls at home and in school. The children counted how many buttons they had used, thought about what they could use for eyes and a nose and some children even tried to make a family of snow people.
The children have been exploring the properties of ice, in school and at home as part of their home learning projects. Lego pieces and toys were frozen and the children had to think of different ways to free their toys. The children collected natural items they had found on their winter walk, froze them and turned them into beautiful ice catchers.
