Doing our maths at home rather than in school has sparked lots of creative thinking from the children of Class 3L and their families.
As well as using Kami to do our properties of shape work online we had children going on a 2D shape hunt in their homes and then labelling what they found with maths vocabulary – here is a photo from Adam who spotted acute, obtuse and right-angles right there under his staircase. Jamie sent us a picture of him spying all kinds of shapes on his wall including the triangles we were looking at that day.
During the same week we also looked at measuring and drawing accurate vertical, diagonal and horizontal lines and Alistair sent us these fabulous pictures of him hard at work at home as he uses a ruler and pencil to make exact measurements and perfect lines.
