With the snow falling we had an idea to work together to write a poem about the winter wonderland around us. We looked at the picture and then wrote the poem just one line at a time on our Class 3L Stream. Well done to all the children who contributed, every word of it is theirs and I am so proud of them. It’s a beautiful poem that will always remind us of these unusual times.

Glum sky over freezing, white snow,

The freezing snow is hanging all over the winding branches,

Big white clouds, heavy with snow, floating in the sky, ready to drop big fluffy snowflakes,

Glistening snow covering the dirty muddy floor after days and days of rain,

A winding white path leading to fun, snowy adventures.

The snow looks white and fluffy today,

The snow falls on the ground, with a glistening glow, will it stay for us to play? There is only one way to know.

Snowball fight, play with delight, try not to get frost bite!

I love the snow, it’s great I know, so then let’s go!

Time to get the sledge out and then it’s “Whoaaah!”
