Time Capsule : A moment in time

Early Years are taking part in the local time capsule project, celebrating coming out of the darkness of lockdown and returning to some normality with colourful bright rainbows. Rainbows have been a sign of thank you, hope and solidarity.

Rainbow Day was a huge success. The children loved exploring the coloured ice and discovering the mystery objects inside. The children made some interesting creations and beautiful rainbows with the different coloured playdough, practised their cutting skills cutting out the hand prints for the display. We practised measuring coloured rice in cups, jugs and beakers to see how full or empty they were. And we all love hiding under the rainbow parachute. During circle time, the children shared their lockdown memories and what they are all looking forward to now.
