We all know that sound travels through the air (a gas), but does it travel through liquids and solids? We investigated how sounds differ depending on the medium (solid, liquid or gas) through which it travels. We then looked at diagrams to explore how the structure of solids, liquids and gasses differ. Using this scientific knowledge, we were able to explain how sound travels and which mediums it travels best through.
