This week we have been learning all about different birds and spotting them to celebrate the Big Garden Birdwatch this weekend. We went on a walk around school, spotting different birds, and finding where they liked to make nests. We painted our own wooden birds as well as making bird beaks and singing the Peter and Paul rhyme.
We worked hard to thread cheerios on to pipe cleaners to feed the birds as well as making a big bird feeder to put in the yard. We thought about where the birds could sit whilst they ate! Some of the us made a ‘hide’ to watch the birds from, and used binoculars to see them when they flew through the sky.
