We have thoroughly enjoyed reading The Highway Rat by Julia Donaldson for World Book Day 2022.
We began our day with acting out our favourite scenes from the story. We then discussed what kind of character the rat was and created a wanted poster, using exciting similes and adjectives in our writing to describe him.
This afternoon we designed and decorated our own masks and we baked one of the Highway Rat’s favourite treats – cakes! They were delicious!
