The children really enjoy play floor is lava, so today we became super scientists to see if we could make an exploding volcano and make lava. We mixed lemon, baking powder, lemon juice and food colouring to see if we could make an big eruption. The lemon started to bubble and explode when all the ingredients were mixed together, boom we have made Lava !!!
We used our different senses to explain what we could see, smell and feel. We tried using new vocabulary including volcano, eruptions, science and experiments to explain what was happening.
