Nursery had a lovely World Book Day, all the children enjoyed coming into nursery in their pyjamas and slippers. We shared lots of stories together and joined in with activities relating to our book of the day ‘The Gruffalo’.
The children used pictures to re-tell the story in their own words and painted our representations of the characters in the book. We acted out the story creeping through the deep dark wood looking for the woodland animals and even made Gruffalo crumble with cornflakes and rice crispies.
