At the beginning of the week we thought it would be a really good idea to fill lots of containers with water in the outdoor area as it was going to turn very cold, we wanted to see if the water would freeze. After filling the containers we put in a selection of small toys and waited to see what would happen. The next day the water had frozen and the toys were stuck in the ice, no matter how hard we pulled we couldn’t free them. We then had an idea to pour hot water onto the ice so that it would melt, after lots of buckets of hot water the ice melted and we were able to retrieve the toys. It was great fun.
