In 6H our class teacher is Mrs Humberston & our fantastic teaching assistant is Ms Wood.
The children in this class work very hard but also have a lot of fun.
They have the superb reputation of being one of the most polite and well behaved classes in the school.
The children come from all over Gateshead and some are lucky enough to get a taxi to school.
We all are very kind and respectful towards each other and have lots of fun learning together.
We would like to use this blog to share our homework, our ideas, our fascinating finds, upcoming events and photographs, and we`d really like to know what everyone thinks of them.

Musical role play
We had lots of fun reading our new class text and adding musical instruments to mimic the footsteps of Jim and the giant. We used drums to show the thunder of the giants footsteps and a triangle to show how light footed Jim is.

Exploring Nursery
The children in Nursery have settled into their new class very well. They have been exploring their new classroom, meeting all the grown -ups and making new friends.
Investigating numbers
We have been investigating two-digit numbers today. We worked hard to represent our numbers using different maths equipment which helped us to recognise tens and ones and the value of each digit.
A Great Start!
Year 4 started to think about their new guided reading text today. We were given the book's title 'Stig of the Dump' and some clues in the form of articles and we had to make predictions about what might happen in the story. There were stones, bones, treasure, furs...
Settling in to Year 1
We have had a brilliant day settling in to Year 1, exploring our new environment, catching up with our friends and undertaking lots of challenges.
Why are rivers so important?
Our new geography topic is rivers so we thought we'd draw our own. We learned some new vocabulary such as: river mouth, source, and meander. We also chatted about what we may find near rivers and drew a fairground, a Fish & Chip shop, rocks, mountains, a factory...
