Our Bodies

This week we have been learning ‘all about me’. Through our Nursery Rhyme of the Week – Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes, we have been naming parts of our body. Some parts are tricky to see, so we used mirrors to observe how our facial features change depending on our mood. We have enjoyed exploring our senses: tasting crunch and soft snack, playing eye spy in the eco garden and did you know you can touch things with any part of your body. Our key vocabularly this week included body, bones and teeth – here we are exploring our my body tough spot. This week we have enjoyed stories about different characters and the problems they have with their teeth – we have decided if you brush them well, drink milk or water and visit the dentist you will have stong and healthy teeth.

Yesterday we celebrated ‘National Fitness Day’ while exploring the different parts of our bodies and how they move.
