This week we have explored pumpkins. We discussed thanks to our Farmers we can use pumpkins as part of Halloween celebrations but they can help us learn in so many different ways too. On Monday we explored the outside of a pumkin and prediced what it is like inside. The rest of the week we explored the inside of a pumpkin using them in role play soups and Autumn coffee shop as well as cutting up and tasting cooked pumpkin. We took part in pumpkin rolling chasing after our pumpkins was very fun. Our pumkins the hid from us so we needed to listen to our positional language that we have been using in maths to hunt for them. We used our fingers to count how many pumpkins we found. Finally we carried out an experiment, predicting which ground would crack the pumpkins more easily, the grass or the concrete playground. We have have has a brilliant week stemming from one conversation around why we have pumpkins.
