Animals with different diets delivered some parcels to our classroom. We used our knowledge of carnivores, omnivores and herbivores to identify who the poo belonged to.
How can we compare a variety of common animals?
We have been exploring the different animals groups in 1R and finding out why different animals belong in certain groups. Year 1 were able to talk about the specific features certain animals have from different groups using the venn diagram.
What are directions?
Year 1 have been working on programming instructions on the Bee-Bot's to tell them which direction they need to move in. The class created mazes out of resources from around the room and programmed the Bee-Bot's to move, forwards, backwards, left and right....
Giving instructions
In Computing we have been programming the Bee-Bot to change directions depending in the instructions we inputted into it. We were challenged by being given obstacles to negotiate.
