RNLI Cullercoats Visit
We had a great day, starting at RNLI Cullercoats learning about the modern day ways they help people on the coast and save lives, comparing it to how people were saved from the Titanic. We then had a picnic on the Tynemouth beach before a fun filled afternoon playing...

Y1 take on Forest school Extreme at Gibside
We had a brilliant day at Gibside today exploring all around, pond dipping, identifying different creatures that we found and enjoying a play in Strawberry Castle. We ended the day tired out from lots of walking but happy having had a great day!
Phonics Fun
We have worked very hard on our Phonics this year, and had an absolutely great time playing different Phonics games whilst practising all the sounds we have learned.
Freeze framing our story
We have enjoyed reading our story Little Red Riding Hood and acting it out with our peers. We freeze framed key parts of the story thinking about the emotions involved.
Sharing the holy communion meal
We learned about the purpose of the holy communion meal and last supper and then shared out bread and wine (juice) as a class.
Phonics minibeasts
We enjoyed working together to hunt for the mini beasts in the mud and then read the real and alien words on each one. We challenged each other to see how many words we could read in a minute.
Mini olympics
We had lots of fun in PE competing in a mini-olympics style session to debut our athletics skills.
Marmalade sandwiches
We had lots of fun making marmalade sandwiches to test what Paddington’s favourite food tasted like.
