3M are working so hard on their 3 digit addition and subtraction so that they fully understand what they are doing. We have used base ten and place value counters to help us with our compact method of column subtraction and addition.

Today we had a virtual museum experience with the Durham Museum. The children learned how to investigate artefacts, write hieroglyphics and they saw a real live mummy. I was really impressed with the knowledge the children were able to show for our expert too. Well...
The children have been learning copious amount of skills in their DT lessons this half term. They have designed and drawn their eye of Horus , printed their eye, and then with a splash of colour they brought them to life with sewing running, back and cross stitch....
The children were learning how to ask scientific questions, predict outcomes and record tables of data about their fair test today. They asked the question ‘which material muffles sound the best?’
The children composed and performed their own piece of music today using the notes we have been learning in our lessons.
