Class 1 have recently visited Souter Lighthouse. We really enjoyed learning all about how the lighthouse works and how it keeps our sailors safe. Every one of us climbed all the way to the top – that was 76 steps!
On the afternoon, we took part in an art session, where we carefully sketched the lighthouse and sea around us. We loved being creative and whilst being so observant we spotted dolphins too!
Recently we have been learning all about the Arctic sea, but this trip served as an exciting hook into our next topic of the Titanic. It was a very memorable trip and we are really looking forward to learning even more.
