FELLSIDE FUN CLUB (WRAP-AROUND CARE)
Our wrap-around care is provided by staff in the ‘Fellside Fun Club’, an external organisation who are nonetheless an integral part of our school.
Rachel and her staff provide supervision, breakfast and fun before school (from 7.50am) for all age ranges, including our nursery pupils.
After-school, children are offered a snack and the opportunity to socialise, play games, do activities or even their homework.
Closing at 5.50pm, the after-school club provides a popular and convenient source of childcare for working parents.

Rainbow Road of Emotive Language
Today we have been collecting emotive language to help show how we are feeling when we are writing. The giant piece of paper was very exciting!
Finding Half of an Amounts
Here we are learning how to half amounts- practically. We have been learning about equal groups and what this means.
All About Me
To help us get to know the children, they each brought in 4 items in their all about me bags. The children then each took turns to show everyone what they enjoy playing with, who is in their family and what they are looking forward to this year.
Science Investigations
Today we were learning how to conduct a 'fair test' to ensure our results were accurate. You can see children testing the suitability of materials- the strength of a chair and the waterproofing on some wellies.

I am Proud
In PHSE, we have been talking about what we are proud of. We learned how to tell others this information clearly and learned how to ask others what they are proud of. The children were polite and showed fantastic questioning and listening skills.
How do you make marks by printing?
D.T Food Sorting
In D.T, children have been sorting foods into animal and plant products. The discussion around 'baked beans' had the children and Mrs Stephenson laughing!
