Rhyme time – Adventures of Isabel poetry
I was so impressed with our poetry today, I just had to share. The children have been reading a funny poem called 'Adventures of Isabel' and they have written in the same style. They are rhyming legends!

We used our knowledge of letters and their key features to sort letters from other genres of writing. We then used our knowledge to then write a letter as though we were one of the characters from “The smartest Giant in Town” to tell George how much he helped.

From single sounds, to cvc word building to sentence writing - Reception are trying so hard across the day with their phonics, both within play and in our phonics sessions. We are working on remembering which way round our letters go!
