This week we have enjoyed recalling and building based on the story of “The Three Little Pigs”. At forest on Tuesday we explored the woods checking for the Big Bad Wolf. Across the week we have had our own construction sites inside and outside discussing the characters as well as using our mathematical thinking at how to position the different blocks/shapes. We have also been drawing our own pictures based on the story on paper and using the big chalks outside. On Friday we went back to forest school where we built more houses – some included gardens and hot tubs. The children were able to use the language strong and apply this when selecting materials.
We took a little trip to find out about the colourful Murano houses in Italy. It is a very hard place name to say but we have been trying to. We have enjoyed revisiting out roll and build game. We rolled the diece and selected the amout of bricks based on the quantity of the dice to build the colourful Aurano houses.
