Last week, Year 5 looked at Roman Numerals. We investigated when they were used, where we might see them as well as how we can read them ourselves. After creating useful guides on how to read Roman Numerals we went down to the hall to play a game of ‘Roman Numeral Charades!’. This game involved the children in groups creating Roman Numerals using actions, the other children then had to guess what number they had created. We really enjoyed this practical maths lesson and it helped us create up to 5 digit numbers in Roman Numerals!
