Deciduous or Evergreen?
We've had a hunt this afternoon for deciduous and evergreen trees. We looked on the floor for the leaves that had fallen from the deciduous trees and used these to help us to find the trees. We created a tally chart and a pictogram of our findings.
1/2 M’s Animal Factfiles
What writing superstars we have in 1/2M. They have been wowing me this half term with non-fiction animal factfiles. Here are some of the fruits of their labour. If only we had bigger display boards!

The year 2s in my class have been working super hard on there addition with 2 digit numbers. I've been very impressed.

Autumn Leaf Animals
This afternoon, we went out into the field to look for certain autumn leaves, then brought them back into class to make animals out of the autumn leaves we found.
Maths- adding by bridging to ten.
In maths today, we have been adding two 1-digit numbers together by finding ten first. This then helped us to find the total, as we didn't need to count every individual counter.

We used the autumn leaves we collected on Tuesday and some autumn coloured tissue paper to create candle holders, reusing glass jars. They look so effective!
