Music and movement
Each day we enjoy singing and story time where we develop our listening, attention and recall skills. We also listen to and talk in ‘Fred Talk’. This week we learnt a new song with lots of different ways of travelling.
Music Mark Members
We are proud to be Music Mark members and promote a love of music within our school. Our year 5 children are currently learning how to play the steel drums, during weekly, whole class music tuition. This will be extended to year 6 children next term.
Finding the beat
We had lots of fun finding the beat of different pieces of music and clapping, tapping, jumping and marching along to it. We found some songs easier to match the beat to than others.

Happy Platinum Jubilee Her Majesty
This week we made cards for the Queen, explored money in Maths and learnt all about the United Kingdom including using the colours of our flag in baking cakes. To celebrate such a monumental event in British History we learnt a song about the Queens likes and jobs.
