Welcome to Class 1 - Mrs Mobberley's Class
Class PE Day – Monday & Thursday
Using a mouse
We worked hard in computing, logging on to the laptops, using the mouse to design our own pieces of artwork and then logging off. We used the paintbrush, rubber, fill tool and undo button to help us create our pictures.
Helping the blind
We read the story of Jesus healing the blind man and thought about how we could help people who are blind. We wore blindfolds to see how difficult it was to complete tasks whilst blindfolded.
Energy Saving Tactics- Working as a Team!
To combat the rising cost of electricity and gas, we have worked together as a school to come up with some ideas as to how we can save energy (and money) as a school. These were the ideas we came up with together and 7B had the important job of writing these out.
World Nursery Rhyme Week
We had a brilliant week learning about all 5 nursery rhymes and sharing them with our friends. We used the iPads to scan QR codes to listen to the rhymes too. We even gave our best ‘aarrrrr’ when pretending to be pirates!
Sorting animals into groups
We learned about the different groups that animals are part of, and we practised sorting them into their different groupings using our toy animals. We practised using the vocabulary of mammals, amphibians, fish, reptiles and birds.
Odd socks day
We showed our support for anti-bullying week by wearing odd socks all day. We spoke about what bullying was and the importance of being kind and helping others.
