Hello boys and girls,

Well, it’s been a very long time since I have seen you all but I have been seeing what some of you are getting up to through emails which I have really enjoyed. I have been very busy at home working and looking after my own family. We go for walks every day and my girls have become completely obsessed with visiting horses. I think we know every horse in the local area. Each horse has been named and allocated to one of my girls and they seem to be able to keep a record of who is who – pretty impressive.

We have had one birthday so far in my family; Freya has turned 8 and we made a rainbow cake to celebrate. We didn’t have a number 8 candle so can you see how we made eight? What do you think? She is quite the scientist and  enjoyed blowing things up on her birthday.

I have been brushing up on my hairdressing skills and have cut everyone’s hair and have done a few styles requested by the girls. What do you think of Freya’s plaits? We had lots of fun cutting Mr. Mitchell’s hair (all of the girls joined in) but he has taken to growing a moustache, which we are all not too sure about; he definitely looks funny.

There are tonnes of frogs leaping around in our pond and when it’s rainy, they start hopping around in the lawn. You should have heard Livvie squeal when she saw one hop beside her. We’ve made dens in our local wood. You can see Livvie standing in it in the picture.

I’m sure you have done lots of exciting things too. I’ve missed seeing you all and teaching you. Please keep sending your pictures to the school of what you are up to as I love seeing you all and what you are doing and making.

Talk to you soon you lovely lot,

and I’m missing you more than you’ll know,

Mrs Mitchell
