What a day! Year 6 have had a lovely final day in school, with Beckleberry’s ice cream; take away pizza and chips from Gills in Sunniside; outdoor games with Miss Latto; shirt signing and a virtual leaver’s video which went live to everyone at 10 am. Then to round the day off we were greeted with a huge banner hung outside of school which the parents and carers had organised for our socially distanced send off. I would like to thank all of the parents for arranging this lovely surprise for the children and for their generous gifts; the staff for going the extra mile for the last few weeks while organising the events; the PTA for paying for the leavers’ gifts and finally the children for handling the unusual circumstances so well and just being amazing! Enjoy your new schools. Have a lovely summer. We’ll miss you.
