Whatever Next!!!
The children in Early Years have been working so hard on their story telling, mark making and writing. We follow Pie Corbett’s Talk for Writing process, and this term we focused on the story Whatever Next.
First, the children have learnt this story by heart. We have listened to the story and used a large story map to re-tell. The children made their own story maps and told their story to a friend.
Then, Reception children used their phonics to read words and match them to the correct picture, some children then started writing a caption to match the picture. Finally, children had a go writing a super sentence all about the story thinking about finger spaces and full stops. Well done everyone.
