Goldilocks and the Three Bears.
After listening to the story, the children in Nursery and Reception used a range of materials to create their own representations of the characters in the story, including some role play using boxes to make the bears. 
Porridge Play: Children explored the texture of porridge and experimented adding water to observe its effects and Penny invited her ponies to join in her in her porridge breakfast, mmm tasty !!
We have been exploring mathematical language related to size, ordering beds, chairs and bowls in size order in school and at home. In school children made their own big beds and chairs using the large construction blocks, and children at home used the chairs and bowls they found in their house, to compare the different sizes.
