Hello Everyone!

In conjunction with our Gateshead School Sport Partnership, another virtual challenge has made its way through our school! A few of the children who were in school became our torch bearers last week. It was their job to engage others in being physically active throughout the day. I hope all of you at home are managing to fit PE and physical activities into your daily lives.

This week is children’s mental health week and here is a few facts as to why physical activity can help to make you feel better.

  • Builds Confidence
  • Helps to reduce anxiety and depression
  • Increases self-esteem and cognitive skills (which basically means to help you think clearer).
  • Here is a link with various other ways you can be active aside from Miss Latto’s PE activities. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1dUIUquqnQE7ZhLKnveEMGUzSFMh6-rWC/view?usp=sharing

Part of the #INSPIRE Virtual Torch Relay is to create your very own torch design. Your teacher may have made this your art lesson for the week! If not, and you’d like to enter into the challenge, here are the resources to understand the activity and the template. Send the designs to your teachers by Friday.
