In Early Years, we have been exploring and learning our numbers up to 10. The children have been learning to recognise the numeral and then count out the correct amount of items using a range of items and objects they have found in school and at home. The children are learning 1 more and 1 less than a number, and using a part whole method to show the different ways to make numbers up to 10. We even made paper chain number bonds. Children then practised using resources or numerals to make number sentences.
