As part of our work inspired by our class book ‘The Varmints’ Year 5 have been learning to write persuasively. We wrote, edited and then performed passionate speeches to encourage people to improve the environment. Mrs Beattie and Mr Boddy were seriously impressed by our ideas, expression and use of persuasive techniques such as repeated phrases and rhetorical questions.
