In nursery we created our own hungry caterpillar to practise throwing and catching balls and bean bags. First, we looked at the shapes and colour of our caterpillars to make our large version. We researched using books and the internet where caterpillars lived and what they eat. We started looking at different mini beasts that can be found and discussed what other bugs we had found at forest school. We then took the caterpillar outside and ‘fed’ him different coloured balls and bean bags.
