After some of our children have been making pop corn in our home corner, we made our own real popcorn to taste. First we talked about what was in the packet, including learning new vocabulary kernels. We talked about the difference between sweet and salted popcorn and voted for our favourite. We then talked about how we were going cook our corn pop and agreed to put it in the micro wave. Miss Smales read the instructions on the packets and we listened very carefully, we needed to tell Miss Smales when the popping stopped so she could stop the microwave. We used all our senses to tell when the popcorn was ready, it smelled delicious and tasted super yummy too !
