We have enjoyed learning about Henri Rousseau, imitating his work then recreating our own. We created colour wheels, identifying warm and cool colours and used a view point to help us choose a setting for our final piece. There was a lot of variety within the class – deserts, beaches, mountains and under water scenes. We then researched plants that we might find in our chosen setting. We put all of our skills together – creating lines, cross hatching, mixing and blending paint, layering with tissue paper and we were all really proud of our final pieces.
