Today in Art, year 6 started the process of making their own Mayan masks using paper Mâché and balloons. The technique was modelled to them before starting their own. Children ripped up pieces of kitchen roll and carefully dipped it in the glue before layering horizontally and vertically.
Next week the children will start to add features to create a face for their mask.
A messy but fun skill taught!
