Year 5 and 6 have been enjoying their tennis unit in PE, learning and practising lots of ball and racket skills. Over the past couple of weeks children have developed their ability to hit the ball with increasing accuracy and change of direction and speed, as well as demonstrating control over the direction of the ball.
We thought there was no better time to organise for some coaches from Blaydon tennis club to come in to school and inspire our children further through a tennis workshop! We hope some of the children pop along down to the local tennis club and take part in a free tennis session with the flyers that were handed out and maybe even take up tennis as a new hobby!
