One of our football teams has just finished their tournament league fixtures. They played 3 league tournaments at Winlaton, playing 5 games each round. Our first tournament was a tough one resulting in defeats. This did not dampen our spirits as they continued to train extremely well. The next two rounds saw a massive improvement, defending extremely well as a team and showing great resilience to not concede goals. We started to pick up some valuable points! Our final tournament was at Ryton, we played in the Blaydon plate finals. We won 3 games, scoring some fantastic goals and drew our other two games, meaning that we came first!
We are so very proud of each player, their dedication and determination to keep improving was the key to their success! Our final tournament see’s our girls team play in their second round of league fixtures in May.
