Year 4 have done fantastic in their PE units this Autumn term with the children working hard and having lots of fun to develop their physical literacy in Hockey, Tag rugby, swimming and most recently handball!
Hockey: Year 4 developed the skill of push passing in a controlled manner and being able to travel with the ball.
Tag Ruby: Children had a lot of fun in what can be a difficult sport to understand. All became competent in carrying the rugby ball whilst running and developed their ability to change direction at increasing speeds. The skill they had to really think about was understanding the rule of not being able to pass forward, after plenty practice and passing when standing still, the children challenged themselves in some games where the skill was really put to the test!
Year 4 continue their swimming throughout the year and the swimming instructors are always very pleased with the progression of all children.
