One of our nursery children was lucky enough to see a real rocket launch and shared it with us all on our online learning journal Tapestry. This inspired us to play all things rockets🚀 We listened to different stories including Roaring Rockets, Whatever Next and Man on the Moon, and visited the school library to find some non-fiction books all about space. We had a great time getting our rocket ready before launching it up into space. As we painted the rocket we practised counting down so that we were ready for blast off and sang five little men in a flying saucer. We finished off our rocket by adding some windows, get ready moon here we come 5,4,3,2,1 BLAST OFF. We even practised our counting skills sending people to the moo
