We’ve had a hunt this afternoon for deciduous and evergreen trees. We looked on the floor for the leaves that had fallen from the deciduous trees and used these to help us to find the trees. We created a tally chart and a pictogram of our findings.

This afternoon, we went out into the field to look for certain autumn leaves, then brought them back into class to make animals out of the autumn leaves we found.

In maths today, we have been adding two 1-digit numbers together by finding ten first. This then helped us to find the total, as we didn’t need to count every individual counter.

We used the autumn leaves we collected on Tuesday and some autumn coloured tissue paper to create candle holders, reusing glass jars. They look so effective!

Today, we went on a hunt for Autumn leaves, as tomorrow we are going to be creating some Autumn-themed candle holders, using jam jars, leaves, tissue paper and PVA glue. The colours we found were so impressive- there were lots of orange, red, yellow and brown leaves....
