Dear Parents, Carers and Visitors
Welcome to the Rowlands Gill Primary School website. I hope you will find our website informative and that it gives you a feel for the real ethos of the school.
Rowlands Gill Primary is a lovely, welcoming and supportive school: we pride ourselves on giving our children a warm, friendly and caring environment in which to learn and flourish. If you are considering our school for your child, please click here to view our information video and admission information.
The children are at the centre of everything which we do. Our aim is to offer every child the chance to fulfil their potential both academically and personally, which is achieved by education of the ‘whole child’. The acquisition of knowledge and skills is the entitlement of every child, irrespective of ability or background. We strive to offer high quality teaching and exciting, stimulating experiences and we are extremely proud of the achievements of our children.
Our school has been located in its new building since 2007 and benefits from bright modern facilities, set in beautiful and extensive grounds and is fully accessible to all.
Should you have any questions about our school, or if you would like to come and visit to find out more about us, please get in touch. I would be delighted to show you around the school and introduce you to the passionate, caring staff and wonderful children who make our school such a special place.

World book day
In key stage one we focused on the 'Pea and the Princess', which we found very funny as it was written from the Pea's point of view! We had a fabulous day reading, writing, role playing and creating pieces of art about our book. Happy world book day!
As part of World Book Day, we have been using 2D shapes, oil pastels and baby oil to create different patterns for the princess' matresses.
History Detectives
The children have got the magnifying glasses out and have been investigating evidence about Nril Armstrong landing on the moon. They have also been sequencing pictures of flight. There has been some great use of language to do with time. Well done everyone!
