Let’s Go Shopping
Some of the nursery children went to our local Tesco to buy some delicious food for our Chinese Banquet.
Internet Safety Day
We joined the assembly completing challenges on how to stay safe and then went outside and played a game thinking about our reactions and emotions in different scenarios.
Clay techniques
We used play dough to practice different techniques we could use to model the clay with such as twisting, imprinting, rolling and shaping.
Classifying and tasting foods
We sorted fruits and vegetables in to different groups, classifying them by different things such as colour and taste. We then looked at the different areas of our tongue that taste foods and tried foods from each group. Lots of us found the lemon very sour!
Forest School
We have finished our week with a fantastic afternoon at forest school- cooking on the fire, den building, tyre rolling and lots more.
The Messy Magpie
The children listened to the story The Messy Magpie linked to our bird watching topic. When the children arrived in nursery the following morning, they realised the messy magpie must have flew through an open window and made a very big mess! The children then sorted...

Toddler Group at Rowlands Gill Primary School
Every Tuesday in term time we welcome parent and toddlers to enjoying some fun activities with our Early Year Team in the Hall from 08.45 - 10.15am. New families always welcome.
Robot Programming
In Computing, we have been writing instructions for the Beebots and predicting the direction they will travel in. We have been practising debugging algorithms to get our robot to travel to chosen destinations on a map.

Following the children’s interest and them finding resources of their own we changed our role play to our very own hairdressers.
