Phonics minibeasts

We enjoyed working together to hunt for the mini beasts in the mud and then read the real and alien words on each one. We challenged each other to see how many words we could read in a minute.

Making George’s Marvellous Medicine!

As part of our new English unit, we are going to be learning about why George made such a disgusting medicine for his Grandma in Roald Dahl's George's Marvellous Medicine. Today, we had a try at making our very own! Yuck!

Having a ‘splashing’ time at Lockerbie!

It might have been the last morning but the Yr 6s have had a great time raft building and generally getting very wet!  Looks like Miss Graham has had fun too!  The group sitting at the bench are looking very pleased with themselves too!

Day 3 of Lockerbie – The Fun Continues

Final day of the residential and we've been axe throwing and den building! It was curry for tea last night and everyone was settled much earlier than the night before - worn out from all the fun activities.

More Lockerbie Day 2

We've had a great climbing wall session.  We all gave it a go, with quite a few of us even managing to reach the very top.  Throughout the activity the children had to work as a team to guide the climber up the wall and even keep them safe by holding onto their rope...
