Welcome to 2S!

Miss Stocks

Hi!

My name is Miss Stocks and I am teaching Year 2 this year! I have worked at Rowlands Gill Primary School since October 2017 – I started at Halloween! I have been a teacher for 2 years now and have loved every second of it. I was a Nursery teacher before I taught in Year 2 and I have really enjoyed the change.

My favourite thing about being at Rowlands Gill Primary school is how much positivity is present throughout the school. Everyone always has a smile on their face and I am always greeted with a friendly “hello!” off children. I love how hard everyone works and how everyone is determined to try their best.

My favourite subject is maths. I love problem solving and working out the answers to questions. Come and ask me a maths question and I’ll quite happily work it out! I also love history and finding out about what has happened in the past and how people used to live.

In my spare time, I love to read, spend time with my friends and bake – even though I’m not very good at it! I also spend quite a lot of time in the Lake District with my other teacher friends, where we get up to lots of different activities like climbing mountains or going to Go Ape! I used to do ballet and tap dancing, but I stopped when I was younger. I still love to watch all different sorts of dancing, I think dancers are very talented!

It makes me so proud when the children in my class complete amazing work, but I also love it when children from other classes come and show me their fantastic work too. Please come and show me if you have done something you are proud of.
