As you all know, some of our children returned to school this week and we thought it would be good to share the recommended method for washing our hands!  We are encouraging children to follow the steps outlined in the following poster from Public Health England:

We will be emphasising the importance of handwashing, as we have been doing with our Key Worker children over the past weeks, and would greatly appreciate it if you could do the same at home.

We will also be reminding the children of the need to cover your mouth and nose with tissues when you cough or sneeze and that, if you do not have a tissue, sneeze into your elbow, not into your hand. Whenever this happens, we will be reminding the children to dispose of tissues into the bin in their classroom and immediately wash their hands with soap and water for 20 seconds.

It would also help us if you would explain to your children that we will be cleaning and disinfecting resources, handles and surfaces throughout the day and that this is nothing to worry about – it’s just us making sure we can all enjoy school as safely as possible.

Thank you for your help and support.
