After observing the two minutes silence on Sunday, Lewis went home and made a Cenotaph out of blocks and said “Mammy I’ve made this for the people that died in the wars” In school, the children listened to The Poppy Story and watched ‘Poppies’ on CBBC. The children showed great respect when we held our two minute silence to remember all the soldiers who died in previous wars. The children chose a range of materials to make their own poppy, including making their own poppy badges, poppy sticks and painting a large poppy for the wall display.
