4B have been very fortunate to borrow a box of ancient Egyptian artefacts from the Oriental Museum in Durham, so we spent an afternoon exploring the artefacts and asking questions about their use. When we’d all had a good look, we decided to do some research to find out what they all were and how they were used. As we explored and discussed, children began to ask and answer questions about what they thought the artefacts taught us about Egyptian society. Who’d have thought there’d be any use for a brain hook?!
