The children in nursery have had a lovely week learning all about the Queen and celebrating the platinum jubilee. We have decorated crowns for our own parade, decorated flags and bunting for our classroom and made some delicious cakes for our Jubilee celebration with our parents on the field.
We have also enjoyed role play activities, dressing up and pretending to be The Queen or her corgis !
We made our own Buckingham Palace and royal castles using construction materials, boxes and blocks, and sang songs including “Here we go around Buckingham Palace, on a Platinum Jubilee”.
We read the story “The Queen’s Knickers” and created our own Royal knickers we thought the Queen might wear if she visited our school !
