Year 4 really enjoyed ‘no pen day!’
In English, we had a spelling race then we described scenes from our class text. Each group stood at the front and described the scene using expanded noun phrases, fronted adverbials and the 5 senses. The rest of the class then held up which scene they thought the group were describing.
In maths, we looked at measurement. We discussed what the best unit of measure would be for measuring different things. We also carried out some fun investigations, such as:
Are your outstretched arms the same as your height?
Is your foot the same size as your forearm? (wrist to elbow)
